CLYKE, Burton Albert – 83, passed away quietly on Monday, July 19, 2021, in Guysborough Memorial Hospital with his daughter Barbie at his side. Born in Sunnyville, he was the son of the late Phillip David and Laura Mae (Pelley) Clyke.

Burton was a fish plant and forestry worker. He was a caring and compassionate man, quiet and easy going. He was a wonderful son, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church, Sunnyville.

Burton is survived by son, Curtis (Angel) Jordan, Eastern Passage, Dartmouth; step-son, Jody Jordan, Edmonton; daughters, Lisa (Blair) Borden and Barbara (Harold) Jordan, both of Sunnyville; son, Christian Gerro; daughter,s, Ariel (Jeffeth) Robinson, Latoyia (John) Gerro, all of Antigonish; brothers, David (Elaine), Sydney; Wade (Wilma), Monastery; Lloyd, Sunnyville; sisters, MaryAnn Skinner, Sunnyville; Gloria (Ronald) Ash.; 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Burton was predeceased by grandson, Tiyari Robinson; brothers, Reid, Lindsay and John; a brother and sister in infancy; sister, Mildred; brothers-in-law, Vernon Skinner, Roy Borden and John Roache.

Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, July 21 in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Guysborough. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday from Grace Baptist Church, Sunnyville with Pastor John Jack officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Guysborough.
