He will now join his first-born son, Kevin and beloved son-in-law, Gerald Sullivan in heaven.

Gerald was born in Queensport in 1923 and grew up during the depression years. As a young man his adventures took him across Canada working in various camps. His return to Nova Scotia saw him enlist to serve Canada during World War ll he fought bravely, with the Royal Hamilton Light Infantry across Europe.

After the war ended, he met and married Millie where they began their family in Halifax and eventually settled in Guysborough. Gerald was a great sportsman who especially loved curling and was even a champion boxer while in the army. He was a well-known musician that played fiddle with his bandmates for decades across eastern Nova Scotia. Gerald was a man of deep faith, who was at his best being with family and friends, sharing stories with much laughter. Gerald was a longstanding member of St. Ann’s Parish and a member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 81, Guysborough. The family would like to thank Dr. Ranjini, Dr. Bell and all the nurses at Guysborough Memorial Hospital for the care and devotion to duty they showed Gerald and all their patients.
